Downloading and installing Sibelius
Download the Sibelius app from the JAMF Self-Serivce app on macOS. If it's not available or outdated, you may download it manually by:
- Login to https://my.avid.com by searching for 'avid' or 'sibelius' in the IT password vault.
- Navigate to My Products > view my products (https://my.avid.com/products#MyProducts).
- Expand the Sibelius Ultimate tab.
- To view download click on VIEW Software Download Links & Products Details.
- Download Sibelius Ultimate xxxx.x. At the time of writing this was the download at the top of the expanded list.
- Transfer the .dmg to the device you are performing the install on and follow the prompts to install.
Licensing Sibelius
On the device you are installing Sibelius, you may have to grant the user admin rights so that Sibelius can license itself. Contact another IT team member if you're unsure how to perform this step.
- Launch Sibelius which should now be installed in the applications folder of the device you installed in on.
- Select 'Allow' if prompted to find devices on local networks. You can change this setting for applications that have requested it on macOS by navigating to settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- At the 'Welcome to Sibelius' window, click on Specify License Server and enter the address c-util3.scotch.sa.edu.au. If you receive an error at this step, please contact on of our IT System Administrators.
- Your Sibelius product should now be activated.
