Release of BYOD Year 6 School Managed iPads
Steps to follow to release Year 6 BYOD School Managed iPads:
- During the final week of term 4 log into Apple School Manager and search for the student iPad and then Release from Organisation.
- On the last day of term go into JAMF and edit the Y6 School Managed Restrictions by removing in the Targets tab the Year 6 School Managed iPads smart group.
This will remove all restrictions and students should be able to access AppleID etc.
- During the second week of January remove the Year 6 iPads from JAMF.
This will give them enough time to have pushed out the previous configuration.
NB Scotchlife Notice sent to all Year 6 parents on 29/11/24
End of Year 6 iPad Program – Important information about your child’s device
Archived
Dear Year 6 families
As your child is moving on from Junior School we will be releasing their Year 6 iPads from our Mobile Device Management Service (Friday 6 December). Family managed devices will continue to function as per normal.
If your child has a School Managed Device and they would like access to the App store, you will be able to erase the device and add an Apple ID.
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings to get it back to factory default.
With kind regards
