Registering your Device for Platform SSO
Device Check
Please note that you must be on-site at Scotch College to successfully register your device for Platform Single Sign On (SSO)
Open the settings app on your macOS device. Navigate to General > Device Management. Look through the list of configuration profiles that are in alphabetical order and locate the one titled Platform SSO. Once located, please continue on to the next step. If you are unable to locate it please email helpdesk@scotch.sa.edu.au.
Install or update the Microsoft Company Portal
Open the Self-Service app on your macOS device. This will usually look like the Scotch College shield logo in your mac's dock. Once open, click on Browse > All. Scroll past all the items that are in alphabetical order and locate the one titled Microsoft Company Portal. Click install/re-install to either install or update the app and wait for the action to complete.
Register your Device
You now need to register your device for Platform Single Sign On (SSO). This is triggered by clicking on a prompt that appears in the top right hand corner of your Mac's display.

If you don't see this prompt within 5 minutes, please follow the steps listed below.
- Please click on the date and time in your mac's menu bar to bring up your notification history.
- Restart your laptop and wait another 5 minutes and click on the date and time in your mac's menu bar to bring up your notification history.
- Contact helpdesk@scotch.sa.edu.au if you are never prompted.
Register your Device (continued)
Please follow the prompts to register your device after clicking the the Notification listed in the previous step. You may follow along with the video below if you'd like assistance with this process.
Important: once this step is complete you must restart your laptop.
Device Compliance Check
To confirm that your device has been registered successfully, please follow the steps below.
- Open your main browser (eg Safari or Google Chrome).
- Navigate to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/

In your browser window, click on the square icon of the 3x3 dots located in the top left hand corner.

- In the search field, search for Device Compliance Test and click on it.
- If the Device Compliance Test was Successful it will load the Scotch College Website. You have now successfully registered your device and can close this guide. If the Device Compliance Test failed, please continue reading.
Device Compliance Check Failure
If the Device Compliance Check fails and doesn't load the Scotch College Adelaide website, please follow the steps listed below.
- Open your main browser (eg Safari or Google Chrome).
- Navigate to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/

In your browser window, click on the icon of your profile picture/initials located in the bottom left hand corner.

- Select Sign out and then close your browser.
- Re-open your main browser (eg Safari or Google Chrome).
- Navigate to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/
- In your browser window, click on the square icon of the 3x3 dots located in the top left hand corner.
- In the search field, search for Device Compliance Test and click on it.
- If the Device Compliance Test was Successful it will load the Scotch College Website. You have now successfully registered your device.
