Global Secure Access - Using the VPN replacement
What is Global Secure Access?
Global Secure Access is a Zero Trust Network Access product or ZTNA for short. ZTNA is an always-on product, so whenever you are connected to Wi-Fi your VPN is connected.
You should be able to open your laptop and connect to VPN resources automatically.
Troubleshooting
If you are having problems connecting, please reboot, this will re-establish the Wi-Fi connection and reset the Global Secure Access components.
Remote Desktop for Windows users
1. Open 'Remote Desktop Connection'
2. Enter the computer name: synergeticts.scotch.sa.edu.au
3. For ease of future connection you can click Save As and save a link to the desktop.
4. When prompted to login, click 'use a different account' and enter your email as the username.

For Windows users, most resources will use your Windows Hello for Business, which is your fingerprint, face or pin to connect. However for remote desktop, such as SynergeticTS, you can only login with your email and password.
This can be confusing as when you connect you are given the option to use pin, face, fingerprint or 'use a different account'. You must select 'use a different account'.
Enter your email address in the username field, and your password in the password field.
