Signing up for Operoo.
How to access Operoo as a member of staff.
- Set up your Operoo profile at https://groups.operoo.com/users/sign_up
- While setting up your profile, please ensure you enter your Scotch College email address in the 'your email address' field.
- Please create a strong password to protect your access to this platform that is at least 15 characters long and is different to your scotch password. You may wish to make a note of your new password somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
- After Signing up, you should shortly receive an email from Operoo prompting you to verify your email address. If you do not receive this email in 24 hours, please contact IT.
Set up Operoo on your mobile phone
- On your phone, download the Operoo Central app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Sign in with your Scotch email address and create a 4 or 5-digit PIN. Please don't use anything obvious like your postcode or birth year.
- After creating a pin, you'll be asked to enter it to finish signing in.
- If you think you should be allocated as a supervisor of a particular group of students, eg. A sports team or year level, please contact your line manager.
Secure your Operoo account

In Operoo, switch on your two-factor authentication by going My Account > Two-Step Verification. This can be done from the Operoo website or the Operoo Central app on your phone.
- If asked, click Verify Mobile Number, and enter the code sent via text message to your mobile phone.
- Click on Enable Two-Step Verification.
Please note that teachers, coaches and other supervisors of students will have access to Operoo via the web interface and the mobile phone app. Given that mobile phones are personal devices, not owned by the College, special permission is given to staff to have student information from Operoo on their personal mobile devices, with these provisos:
- The student information is relevant to those students attending upcoming College activities that thestaff member is supervising.
- The information is removed from the device once the event passes, which will be managed by theOperoo excursion administrators.
- The information is to be considered personal and private – refer to the College Privacy Policy.
- The website or app is signed out of after usage.
